How exciting! The IRS Stimulus payments!?
Does anyone have an idea of how much income you hold to make in demand to receive the full 600?
I am dying of curiosity, after reading they may come out a week earlier, and dont have my export tax return information to use their calculator.
Just a brief idea will suit me fine!
anyone? anyone?
Answers: Go to <irs.gov> and you will find a calculator to see what you will be getting.
Personally I thought that you need to hold a $600 tax debt paid to the IRS for singles and $1200 for married file jointly in command to get the full $600 or $1200 back for singles/couples. But everyone today seem to be answering that you only have to take home $3000 in income. Go to www.irs.gov for details. So if you are single if you paid at least possible $600 in taxes in 2007 you will bring back the full $600 amount plus $300 per dependent under age 17. Sorry so confusing! In my case, for example, my husband and I own 4 children and we paid $1600 in federal taxes, so we would qualify for $1200 for us plus $1200 ($300 each) for our children for a total of $2400. Thank you SG and Judy for clearing up the tariff paid requirement for receiving the full $600 for singles and $1200 for married file jointly! It isn't a matter of income, it's how much federal income duty you paid. To get more than $300 you own to have paid contained by more than $300 - to get the full $600 you have to hold paid in $600 network.
A single person:
-with no dependents (and who is not someone else's dependent)
-taking standard deduction
Needs to own made more than $14,750 in 2007 to receive the full $600 amount.
Doesnt really matter how much you made.if you worked final year and paid taxes...you get $600 if you are single near no kids Married filing jointly... minimum of $3000 for the full $600.
