Advice on how to start public accounting occupation ?
I'd like to get some public accounting experience because I resembling dealing with numbers and am interested in smallish businesses.
I know the helpful requirements up until a certain level are essentially zero.
I want to get some experience doing anything to see if I relish public accounting before getting an Accounting degree.
I call for advice on what I can do or say to firms for them to be of a mind to give me experience.
I'd be happy to come within for 4 hours a week or something and just do some tax returns. Needing proposal to get a foot in the door.
Can anyone minister to ?
I am male and 24 years old if that it relevant.

Answers: Well, to do public accounting you own to like people a great deal more than you like numbers. People and tax returns are closely more complex and incomprehensible than numbers. You need to be able to articulate that you understand tax law and variable circumstances of income, investments and expense deductibility and are prepared to work a heck of a lot more than 4 hours a week to receive a job in public accounting. The important mathematics of it all is incidental. Anyone can join up some numbers on a calculator... but to know what you can do with those numbers is a different story.
You could do a short course (that you pay for) next to H & R Block or ITP to get a foot in the door to do tremendously basic individual tax returns on a cool basis. But you can't go any further than that short formal academic qualification.
Be prepared to do monkey work for low pay unless you are prepared to receive qualified.
