What is probable amount for charitble deduction?

I have my mothers' household items in a minute and want to deduct them on my taxes, but not sure how much I should use to maintain from having a red flag from irs. What percentage does one use to amount what is reasonable within one donation. Instead of having an auction, I hold been donating to different charities the items of call for.

Answers:    you should get a reciept for your items when you donate them. Or at the amazingly least, print our a sheet beside the items that are donated and have the charity that recieves them sign the newspaper. Then you don't have to verbs about any red flags because you enjoy a record of adjectives donations. Usually being honest will not lift up any flags. If you are taking an honest deduction, after there are plenty of other culture who are doing the same.
I would consider the plausible current market merit. That is what would you be likely to attain for the item if you were to get rid of it? For example, if you have an old-fashioned sofa that might fetch $60 at a yard Dutch auction, don't list it for $300 on your taxes!
