Would I capture more $$$ selling my tot clothes to a resale shop OR by donating them and getting a duty receiving..?

Ok, I enjoy a generous bin of babe clothes sizes 0-3, 3-6,6-9 and 9-12 mnths. Basically, the first yrs. worth of clothing for a boy... As resourcefully as some delivery blankets... All of it within excellent condition.. Would it be better to deal in to resale shop for brass or donate it to Goodwill, Salvation Army or other and find a tariff bill.. However, we dont itemize our taxes since we don't own a house or enjoy any investments... What would be the best point to do? I don't hold time/patience for a garage public sale..

Answers:
Definitely put up for sale them. You will not find more money for the used clothes than they are worth. You will not owe any taxes, and can pocket the money for your own use.

If you donate them, you will gain no levy benefit at adjectives since you do not itemize.

Maybe tender a few things to your relatives, and supply the rest to catch yourself some dosh.
If you don't itemize later your choice would be to market to resale shop for change. You hold to itemize within instruct to seize any benefit for a charitable donation on your federal return.
Take it to a resale shop. If you don't itemize on your taxes, a donation delivery isn't going to do you any angelic.

I usually do pretty honest near the resale shop I buy and sell next to. She take the stuff surrounded by on consignment, and sends me a check every month. The first $10.00/month go to the house, and we split anything over that. Beats the heck out of doing a garage public sale! And, I usually win a small check respectively month for several months surrounded by a row!
i consider selling them would furnish more money
if u hold it to liberation army u estimate the effectiveness urself. we do that will adjectives our antiquated clothes
You'd take more financially by selling the items to a resale shop, no event what you return with for them. If you don't itemize, you don't gain any export tax benefit from a charitable donation. Even if you itemize, the rates stash is at most the resale expediency of the items times your levy bracket, so conceivably 15% or 25% of the resale good point.
