I am due to own my efile deposited today and it is not surrounded by the wall, does anyone know how long it will hold?
Answers: You need to deduce how Direct Deposit of refunds works. Here's the short skinny on it from a guy (me) who works within the banking industry:
The IRS runs the ACH transmittals for due refunds on Thursday evenings. How long it take to make it into your edge account depends entirely upon your guard.
If your bank processes them within real time around the clock it will usually be contained by your account sometime on Friday, recurrently at the beginning of the bank day.
If your dune batch processes at end-of-day (many still do) consequently it will be processed by your bank on Friday evening and will be within your account on Monday morning. If Monday falls on a holiday it will be Tuesday past you see your money.
A few small community banks and credit union are not on the Fedline system and/or process ACH transactions manually. In that case it normally takes an second 2 to 4 days or more for your refund to post to your side.
SOME banks can relate you if there is a until transaction but not all of them can. And freshly because they show a pending transaction does NOT be determined that the funds will actually post to your rationalization. If the name on the ACH transaction does not contest one of the names on the rationalization it very ably may bounce back to the IRS who would next issue a paper check within a couple of weeks.
Usually two weeks after you filed the taxes. The IRS make deposits every Friday by 9:00 AM. You might want to contact the IRS for clarification.
