I am repaying my lessons loan and single the interest amount is consider as non-taxable. why

I dream up you are mistaking. Repayment of ' loan and interest thereon' is allowed. The applicable clause is box 80E. It is what I fathom out. You may ask your consultant or refer Para 107.6 on page A-213 of Taxmann's Direct Taxes Ready Reckoner (a.y.2007-08) by Dr. Vinod Singhania. Please confirm and afterwards use.
