Question almost Payroll Taxes and NYSUI?
I do payroll and assistance directory payroll filings and I notice on my fiances paychecks that he's getting NYSUI (NY severance insurance) deduct from his wage. I thought the Employer not the Employee be supposed to compensate this. I thought they salaried this near their NYS-45 when they file their payroll taxes. Should he be getting this deduct from his reward or not?
Answers:
What it should say aloud is that the presumption is SUI/SDI. NY doesn't subtract from human resources paychecks for the SUI division but yes for SDI (Supplemental Disability Insurance). That is what that shoud be for. If your fiance is man charged for SUI, explicitly breaking NY imperative, and he should report his employer to the NY Dept of Labor.
i live in texas, and feel payroll reports too. laying-off insurance is salaried by the employer surrounded by my state. not sure if it vary state to state. it might be something else
Absolutely, laying-off insurance is responsibility of employer. This have to be corrected. It's not an hand's supposition
