How to avoid garnishment of wages?

I'm appealing a final decree that stipulates I own to rate spousal support. I fully expect to win the appeal. In the meantime, I want to avoid paying. Prior to getting out of work, my end paycheck be garnish. If I'm self employed, how do I avoid the garnishment.
