Nope, not a set-up, but a scam. You click on the association and it take you to a site where on earth scam artists are basically waiting for you to enter your personal info so that they can steal your identity. Just delete the e-mail. You solely record a import tax return once a year, and the irs doesn't present you a settlement sector process through the year. They don't know how very well you are doing for this year, so nearby's no passageway they could add any style of settlement amount for you.

By the channel, how would the irs own your e-mail address? nearby's nowhere on the excise return for that info.
It's not exactly a jape - it's a scam. The IRS does NOT dispatch out emails approaching that - if they find something wrong beside your return, and any you owe or they owe you, they'd distribute you a memorandum.

Delete the email. Someone is trying to receive into your pocket by scamming you.
It's a scam. They will use your personal information to commit fraud. IRS doesn't dispatch email for levy discount. IRS have your personal information already and it of late transport you a check contained by the correspondence. Any time, anyone asks for personal information to hand over you something wager on should be examine supportively. If you're still not sure, call upon the IRS or write to the IRS but don't use the address from the email you received.
It's a phishing scam..beware.The irs doesn't enjoy your email address...never would agree to you know you are owed money.
Its a scam newborn..Beware n stay away..why n wat for should they donate u a compensation...Think since u leap.
Even i get it some months rear n basically move it to SPAM..U also do t same n avoid getting it in adjectives..Also caution ur friends reg it..

Do rate if it help

It's a SCAM. The IRS never contacts taxpayers by e-mail. There's no place to put an e-mail address on your tax return to begin near, so how could they possibly hold your e-mail address??
