I had impossible relationship with my hoary boss and it seem approaching she doesn't want to send me my toll form. What can I do to get it? I try to email her, have someone ask her for it, and also ask old co-worker. Please backing.
Answers: It is against the LAW for your employer to withhold your W-2...It was SUPPOSED to be sent to you PRIOR to February 1, 2008... I would run SEE her personally and DEMAND that she make available you the W-2 and inform her that she is breaking the law by not giving it to you... HOWEVER, if you enjoy your last reimburse stub for DECEMBER, this SHOULD have adjectives the information that your W-2 would have and CAN be used as a substitute W-2... especially if you report electronically which means you would not want to hand IN a W-2 to the IRS or state. However, if you are file a PAPER return to your state or the IRS, then you WILL necessitate that W-2... and your employeer MUST give it to you...
