Taxes on food? what is tax and what isn't?

sometimes when I turn to the convenient store I achieve tax on it when I buy a coffee and some cookies. so I bring confused. I know prepared food is tax such as donuts or a breakfast sandwich but what roughly unwanted items food (candy, chips, cookies, nuts etc.)

sometimes I'm told that it's taxable sometimes they don't tax me.

It depends on the jurisdiction. Here within California unprepared food (you cook or drink right out of the package) is not subject to sale import tax but prepared food, restaurant food, supermarket deli food prepared to drink including pocket out, soda, and liquor are subject to sale tariff. Candy and snack food similar to chips and doughnuts are not.
everything that take money is tax besides parking thingies that you own to wage to park, those things at airports where on earth you can rob the cart out of and tickets that you win from the cops, thats adjectives i can conjecture of right presently
What is tax depends on state canon, but should be consistent from hours of daylight to year or from store to store for equal item.
