Any Vat Experts?

If I gross a sucessful application to rear date a voluntry vat registration, next brand name a claim for input vat from the point of registration; how do I treat output vat after not have charged it to my weak customers. Any comfort would be greatful.

Answers:
Output toll is deem to enjoy be charged from the Effective Date of Registration (EDR), whether you in reality charged it or not.

If your customers are registered for VAT themselves, afterwards the easiest and most cost-effective instrument to buy and sell beside this, is to issue invoices to those customers for the omitted VAT item. I would speak to them beforehand to explain why you are doing this.

If they are not so registered, after you hold to undergo the cost yourself but read the following example.

Example:
Bear in mind that although you may own sold (say) a standard rate (17.50%) Widget for lb100 and thus should own charged an auxiliary lb17.50, if you just received lb100, later the output excise payable to HMRC is 7/47 of that lb100, thus singular lb14.90.

Since you will presumably be using the Cash Accounting method, you lone earnings HMRC output excise on what you RECEIVE, not what you INVOICED.

[I bring in this presumption since if you are ineligible for Cash Accounting, your annual turnover will be greater than lb1.35 million and you wouldn't be seeking guidance from this forum. ;-) ]

I do recommend seeing a qualified accountant who can push for you on how to maintain your documentation and may even provide bookkeeping and VAT services resting on toll services. Money resourcefully spent and due deductible.
Unfortunately, VAT o/p is due from the date of registration. So if you backdate reg. you must clear o/p from that date. You can, obviously invoice your customers for the VAT you should own charged. If you can't do that, you must suffer it yourself.
i didnt become conscious which input vat you are discussion roughly, since registeration or after .So you didnt charge output vat to your customers. ok update me what do you deal in? I am asking because near are some items which are due free and we cannot repay or get better the vat on.
