Tax conjecture sound out?

I own a roof specifically leak and it will be fixed shortly. My cross-question is: Can I discount this on my export tax return for 2008?

Answers:
Only if the roof is for a rental property or business property. If it's for your own home, the answer is no. Now if you be putting on a clean roof on your house and it be a metal roof, here is a due credit for a qualify metal roof. I've attached a knit to the credit.
Not on your residence, If it be a rental property you could own though
If the home is a rental property you own you can. Otherwise, if it is your personal residence, the cost to fix the roof is added to the cost of your house and when you provide your house you will own a superior cost starting place and smaller number of a gain. (That's good). Also, if it be deductible, it would be deductible for 2007 taxes - deduct it contained by the year compensated. If you are renting the house, the owner will take off it on his/her Schedule E at import tax time.
