Filling Out Tax Forms?
Im wadding out duty forms (w-4). I am single, simply moved into an apartment I am subletting from someone else. Do I claim 0, 1, or 2 allowances? What happen near respectively? The living pays almost $32,700 annually formerly deduction (401K, benefits, & taxes). Also, I enjoy no dependents, live next to my boyfriend, and am 21. Am I considered Head of Household too? Can I claim any personal allowances? Please Help! All aid is so greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
Answers:
You should claim single 1. If you want to, you can claim single 0 - that will enjoy a short time more taken out of your paycheck, somewhere around $10 a week, but you'll get hold of the extra put a bet on when you wallet your taxes.
No, you are NOT considered go before of household, nor is your boyfriend. That's lone for those who own a close relative as a dependent, similar to a child who lives beside them.
When you folder your return, you will bring back one personal exemption of $3400, for yourself, and one standard presumption of $5350.
I am assuming here that your boyfriend also have a employment. If he doesn't or if his total gross income is lower than $3400 for the year, you live together ALL year, and you provide over partially of his support, after you might know how to claim him as a dependent. This would NOT qualify you to report as cranium of household though, since he's not a close relative.
You are single. At your wage rate you will enjoy to hold around $100 to $110 withheld if you are compensated every two weeks depending on how much go into your 401(k) plan. Two allowances should be something like right.
