Doctors hit delay within Philhealth claims

DAVAO CITY –- Medical practitioners are raise a howl over the delay surrounded by the release of their claims from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) and urged the agency to resolve the problem soon.
"Sanay na kami na (we are already used to the) delayed release of claims between two to three months, okay na yun, pero sobra na ito meron din naman kaming bills na binabayaran (but this is already too much because we also hold bills to pay)," Dr. Malou Monteverde speaking on behalf of the Davao Medical Society told Sun.Star Davao.
