On a rates return, What are the expressions for technically human being file as a dependent? In my instance a payment taxes...?

on over $12,000/year. I live with my parents, does this disqualify me from the stimulus check?

Can they record me as a dependent even though I file my taxes as an independent?

Answers:    You can't wallet your taxes "as an independent" if they claim you as a dependent. Only one person can claim an exemption for any social surety number.

If you are under 19 (or beneath 24 and a full time student), they can claim you as a dependent if you do not provide more than half of your own support. Since you live lower than their roof, they likely provide partly of your support.

If your parents claim you as a dependent, you will be ineligible for the rebate, but you may still benefit under the plan.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 status and income, it is in truth a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, taxes would be cut in 2008 from 10 percent to zilch percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

So if you have taxable income contained by 2008, you will see a tax cut when you directory in 2009.
Just because you compensate taxes doesn't make you independent. Who provides more for you, your parents or yourself? Do parents provide food, shelter, etc.? If yes than they gain to claim you if you provide everything for yourself including paying rent to them than you can claim yourself as an independent. Whoever gets to claim you get the rebate.
