What percentage of dole money solely for utility bills?
I work as a debt adviser, and have a talk beside someone from the water board today who told me that lb25 of weekly dole money is designated for Utility bills and that this be a government statistic, given to the dampen board by the DWP
Has anybody else heard this one, where on earth lb25 out of lb60 is only for electricity, dampen and gas, and that any debts people may incur HAVE to cart this allowance into consideration when repayments are made.
If this is a government policy consequently they ought to adjust the monies paid out to those on benefits as some areas contained by Britain have substantialy highly developed utility charges than others
Answers: Sounds about right in reality and sometimes more!...I am with the CCCS and currently reach a deal to alot of debt co's and am on some benefits as hubby is ill and I am a full time carer.
lb25-lb30 a month on elec
lb20 for sea per month
lb20 gas per month
lb10 council tax
lb12 tv licence
lb10 Emergency utility money.
and we solely live in a 2 bed flat and no kids! lol
These MUST achieve paid past ANYTHING else does.
These are all on monthly stipend schemes so that we don't wage too much and know how much to buget for. The electricity is a pay meter.
So from what the dampen board man is saying sounds right.
It is knotty to budget for these things when on a low income.
Also a rented property that has no double glazing and wooden window uses much more gas in the winter but the DWP doesn't dispense us more money lol
And like you said, some populace have high water charges than others.
Wish they did offer us more to cover the basics but I guess it might seize too complicated lol :)
I can't wait to receive back to work and start living again!
But some associates are like this for a tremendously long time!
Their has to be a National guide for this sort of article.But dont forget amounts that are spent on booze,fags drugs and the like.They are more impressive to some than utility bills.
