IRS Tax Returns?
Does anyone know where I'll know how to take the theory test? Is it online (if so, provide the website) or do I do it from the book? (but where would i submit it?) I'm doing import tax returns for a school program contained by order to get hold of community service/experience.
Answers: what state are you in? a moment ago do a G00GLE search for Tax preparer's course online. There are guaranteed number of hours required and it costs few hundreds dollars. i don't think near are free classes anywhere.
You are probably a little slow for this year. Are you saying you are already doing returns but aren't certified but? Normally you'd take a oral exam to be certified BEFORE you started doing returns.
The only free training/testing/certification I know of is through the VITA/TCE programs, for volunteers contained by those programs. You said it's free because it's through your school - next ask your school.
