How to prove that NYC business cheat on Taxes?
In NYC, at hand are numerous businesses that cheat due. For example, the 99 cent store collects $1.08 for the item. They made $6480 per month. However, they just report $3000 to IRS.
I am sure they do this because they don't enjoy credit card machines. When I ask them why, they said that they don't want to report to the IRS for profits.
I want to disclose their unlawful act. What should I do? I don't hold any solid evidence but if you report to me what type of evidence is needed, I can do it. A bill, a photo, anything.
Answers:
Unless you are the accountant or bookkeeper for the store you hold no familiarity of what is going on and enjoy no path to win that expertise. What a banker earn minimum wage tell you is meaningless. Since you hold no evidence, the IRS would give the brush-off your complaint.
Get a vivacity and verbs just about yourself, not what some min-wager at a dollar store tell you. If anything dodgy is going on, the IRS will amount it out sooner or then.
FYI, most 99c stores don't transport credit cards because of the fees and charges involved. They operate on cut-throat delicate margins and the credit card fees would devour boomingly into their profit. Also, a store single bringing in $6,480 per month won't stay in business immensely long given the light profit margins in that type of business.
Unless you are their accountant you enjoy no belief what they do or do not report to the IRS.
Credit card payments are not related to taxes at adjectives. They a short time ago don't want to repay the commission to the credit card companies, and I can't blame them for that. I imagine the commission is 4%.
if at hand is a suspicion of duty fraud the IRs will audit the business and dance over their books. a short time ago ring the IRs you don't want to be accuse of tamper beside evidence.
Are you an ex-employee in attendance?
If a company be cheating on taxes, why would they speak about a chaotic stranger that they report a low-grade amount. That doesn't receive sense.
If the added 9 cents on the 99 cent item is charge, they return that to the parliament separately.
send an anonymous entry to the irs, giving them the details and moniker and address of the business and communicate them to check out the place
