Ontario levy return & separated from spouse - how do I enter their income on my return if we're not speaking?!

I separated from my wife during 2007 and am now trying to do my rates return online (note this is for Ontario, Canada). The online system suggests that if I file I will be awarded deeply more than I should be in my return, but that the CRA will be contained by touch with a bill once they reassess after my spouse files her own return.

Is this the track to go, basically file, appropriate the huge amount that I shouldn't have, and lately wait until the CRA asks for it wager on?

Answers:    Were you separated for longer than 90 days in 2007?

The CRA considers you separated when you live separate and apart from your spouse or common-law partner for a time of 90 days or more due to a breakdown in your relationship. Once you own been separated for 90 days, the potent day of your separated status is the light of day you started living separate and apart.

So if you have be apart longer than 90 days in 2007, you database as single.

However, you are now supposed to notify the CRA of your seperation, since it could affect consistent benefits, like the GST rebate. This is the form you are supposed to convey them:

If you file, married file seperate, you should not have to enter your spouses income. Your taxes will be base on just your income alone. If you attain money that you were not suppose to, not individual will they ask for it back, you will be assesed fees and interest on the money.
