I am a independent courier contractor. Can I write sour .45 per kilometer on my taxes and adjectives the gas?
Answers:
In the USA, you are barred to claim a mileage conclusion AND direct expenses such as gasoline or grease, etc. The mileage rate is supposed to equate to your total expense per mile (or kilometer).
In the US you can transport actual expenses or the .45 per mile (or doesn`t matter what the current rate is). You can't purloin both.
