Want to provide stuff on eBay, do you know of any suitable, free, bookeeping software?
Planning to buy stock and resell on eBay for profit. Need to keep accounts for the Taxman here in the United Kingdom.
If no software what specific info should be enter within the columns of the accounts system/book/spreadsheet?
All guidance appreciated...
Thanks,

Hi rhqman,
There is plenty of accounting software around, but it's not free. If you agree on its worth paying for accounts software, you could look at Tradebox (Sage Start Up Edition) which includes the Sage accounting bag and a tool to integrate beside eBay, or QuickBooks.

You can freshly use Excel, where on earth you should story adjectives your sale and expenses, including eBay and PayPal fees. Include date, buyer/supplier mark, description, pay-out type, currency, amount received/paid, VAT (if registered), type ( for expenses, e.g. postage, eBay fees).
Whatever you want, I recommend you receive an accountant, who will know how to facilitate you near your bookkeeping, excise returns, etc.
I hope that help!
that adjectives depends if your using window or Linux if your using MS Windows budge near MS Money 2007 extremely assured to swot if your using Linux later try GNU Cash(also immediately below window and is free) but beside steeper erudition curve as for EBay they enjoy nearby course on what to do and use etc hope this helps
