Answers: Well are you doing this for free or are you being payed for this? Are you a pictographic designer or is this field brand new to you? You can download a 30 day free trial of adobe illustrator cs3 which is great for making logos. You would hold to go through some tutorials though. Make sure the font go well next to the layout, make sure it's capably balanced, and most importantly, clear sure the color layout is appropriate.
Slow down there Chris. You enjoy way too various things listed. You want to focus on one or two of your best strong points. Everyone knows that most trades those can fix a lot of different things, but you don't see drywall installers going around media hype that they build decks, etc. When you put every type of repair opening on your ads and business cards it make you look like you are pleading to get any work that you can. And it make you look like you are not deeply good at doing ANY of those job. So focus on 2 or 3 types of work that tie into each other. For example, floor coverings and tile installation. Painting (interior/exterior). Just don't start mixing up fine art with electrical and plumbing or citizens will think you are a fly-by-night contractor. Once you're within the door and you have the situation you can look around and suggest doing other repairs and upgrades for the client. You can also have several different business cards that register specific types of work rather than putting the entire register on one business card.
