How do I hang on to departing (or current) human resources from taking and/or using company materials and accepted wisdom?

Recently, a former member of staff have copies some files that contained a creative design we have be working on. It be the company's work product. We invested time, fabric and creative income within its nouns. from inception. He is currently marketing it as his own design. I follow copyright and trademark answers the classic put somebody through the mill. What I am looking for is some sort of "work product agreement" I can hold organization sign upon hire... does anyone know of a generic document I can use?
