In some states, you have to show 'just cause', and own a clear paper trail to dismiss even a probationary member of staff. With a 'temp' employee from an agency, the company just needs to update the agency not to send that individual fund again. This makes it especially easy to peak potential employees, and give a business the opportunity to actually see a potential member of staff at work.

Go for it. Being a temp give you the flexibility of working for a company without the long occupancy commitment. Even though it is for a short while, you get an inside judgment of the company, and can decide if that's where on earth you want to consider full time employment. If the company sucks, thank your lucky stars you're a temp!
