Starting a business?

Hi, can anyone support me on how to jump more or less setting up a business? My husband and I ideally considered necessary to run a public house but I've be told it may not be the best route to jump down, so we're immediately thinking of a B&B (my hubby is a chef). I've read that you entail at least possible lb100k to put into this sort of business and we don't enjoy that sort of money. Can it be done in need this financial funding? Any backing appreciated.
