has anyone made dutiful money from buying and selling horses? example: buy a horse cheap from an auction ($0-500) and afterwards puts 30 days on it and resells it for $1500. granted the horse is somewhat, rough, trained when u first buy it. how much of a profit can u really formulate and does anyone kno what/how the currant souk is similar to within the state of minnesota? also what your belief is on when the best time to go is and how selling is in winter, spring, summer and tumble.? thanks

I've bought and sold trail riding horses successfully, but I lived on a working dude cattle farm out west and we have a constant stream of citizens traffic, which made it pretty natural. Stalls, gear, and trailers be free for me, so I didn't enjoy any expenses associated beside it. What I would do is progress out and buy a $400-800 horse, usually out of the composition, trailer it backbone to the smallholding, verbs it up pretty and ride it around and trade it for $8OO-1200, in the past the sun go down within 90% of the cases.
In going into the biz of buy/sell you requirement to know what you are looking at, and swift. You don't own alot of time to test/try. You see other you gotta get hold of it and bring it home. But you can glibly spend right money on someone else's serious problem if you don't know what you're looking at. And that go triple for buying from an auction house. I would never buy from an auction unless I have plenty of time to try the horse out beforehand. Just not plenty information in watching a horse circle a ring for 1 minute, unless you're newly buying breeding stock.
Don't buy unattractively colored horses, even if they enjoy superior training or pedigrees, because they transport forever to find the 'right' individual to deal in to. Buy pretty horses near alot of chrome if you want to turn them over like a shot, the majority of inhabitants approaching them.
I have alot of fun buying and selling horses, but I other have a golden rule: Never supply a horse to someone if I didn't get the impression comfortable just about it.
I've see like mad of unscrupulous horse traders contained by my sunshine, and the worst be the ones who would receive poorly trained or unsafe horses available to inexperienced or young at heart riders. Selling a horse to someone carry a responsiblity, contained by my belief anyway, especially for the professional retailer.
