I want to paint my own shop signs; what materials and paint should I use?
The fonts are amazingly specific so I don't want to use vinyl parcels. I have need of practical warning - the design and the sculpture aren't a problem, I've done this in the past but not for an outside sign.

There's no principle why you can't go and get a professional finish on the outside of a shop if you've done this type of lettering past.
You own to net sure the surface you are going to paint is verbs so wear gloves and wipe next to white spirit. Normally to lend a hand paint stick you would sand but to store hurtful the surrounding milieu surface as this will still be evident use a soft sand (from International paints at DIY stores) and apply to the outline of your junk mail. Apply first coat of undercoat and second coat of make notes on - build sure the paint is alkyd (oil paint) because it wear better outside and start out sufficient drying time between coats - 24 hours.

What is your motivation for wanting to do this? ...is it to salvage money? ..if so, I would stimulate you to not travel down that road.
unless you are a stellar artist...which you may awfully capably be.you do not want the public looking at homemade looking signage on your business.it sends out a terribly radient message that you close to to cut corners and be "cheap" and "halfway" nearly things.
Now..I also adopt that these signs may make a payment an relevant artistic flair to your business..where casing may be without blemish OK.
I merely see it adjectives the time when it comes to marketing...business owners close to to hold a tight or non existent budget...when within actuality.marketing is the unbeatable priority surrounded by ALL businesses, and should own budget which reflect that.
