Question on nonprofits: Can the Board of Directors conduct yourself as Service Providers?
As per the Articles of Incorporation: "The corporation shall own no member. The administration of the affairs of the corporation shall be vested contained by a Board of Directors, as defined in the corporation's bylaws. No Director shall own any right, title, or interest in or to any property of the corporation." Is that to utter that the Board of Directors may not provide direct services, e.g. can a Director of a university be a guru? Thanks for any insight.

For non profit orgs, usually they are call board of trustees or governors, for profit corps, you hold the directors.
as per your example, a director can be a professor, why not? for as long as the stipend he is given is at like stratum as the other teacher and that no preferential accomodation be done to seize into the position. Normally such incident will with the sole purpose crop up when at hand is a shortage of tutor applicants.
What is prohibited usually is, a director will bring a construction contract specifically self bid out, or to achieve a supply contract, as this would be conflict of interest.
