Market Research For A Food Delivery Business?
Im looking to start a catering company but i would also want people to be capable of order food from me via a website and later it will be delivered to them.
However, previously i do this i need to do some simple flea market research, will people approaching the food i will be specialising in? How much will they be ready to pay? Would they even want to demand food online? Im not sure how i can go roughly collecting this info, ideally i want people to know how to taste the food i will be providing and later answer a short questionnaire, but how do i go roughly doing this? How can i make empire taste the food? Maybe I call for to put up a stall somewhere but i dont know where and how.
Any sustain will be appreciated. Thanks in finance.
Answers: You could spend a lot of money hiring a souk research firm to find the answers, but I'm guessing a startup catering business doesn't have a big budget for such things. But I meditate you can do a pretty good opening on your own cheaply.
To answer the question of whether society will like the food, you could throw a taste party. People occasionally will turn down free food. Invite some people you know and enjoy them bring some friends also. 15 to 20 should be enough. Have them morsel the food and fill out a questionnaire just about it - rate on taste, appearance, etc. Would they buy it? You have need of to be sure they are honest and not saying they similar to it just to engender you feel dutiful. The questionnaire helps this by making it anonymous.
One esteemed point is to choose the right target for the research. You should have a suitable idea of who you want to be your customers, and your experiment group should resemble this audience. For example, if you plan to sell to moms who are too busy to cook, but your zest test group is adjectives male college students, your results will not concern.
Pricing is a tricky area and difficult to ask surrounded by a meaningful style. I recommend checking out potential competitors who are serving the same target souk. That should give you a credible price range. Then amount out your costs and see if you can be competitive in price.
Online order will also be tough to measure. Creating an online order site can be very expensive. I suggest you start lacking this function and once the business is running smoothly ask your customers about online order.
Good luck!

Give something else bar food as a giveaway. Say for example, if your trying to market hamburgers, offer something like personalized cap or mugs for the first 100 customers.
