Why is Paypal so expensive?

Paypal charges me almost 10% of the final appeal tax when I provide an item. This seem ridiculous for the service they provide. Does anyone know if in attendance's any road to retribution any smaller number (besides human being salaried by cheque or postal order)? I'm trying to start up my ebay business but paypal charges higher than the ebay charges are seriously adjectives into my profits!

Answers:
Please, be immensely meticulous near Paypal, they hijack customer's money for 180 days
so they can day-trade it and put the profit contained by their own pockets.
So they usually use "Money on hold" or "suspicious activities" as an excuse to use their customer's money.

Hopefuly somebody within the congress will relieve the relatives who are human being artificial by this monopoly.
Paypal is a total scam as it is immediately virtually impossible to seel on e-bay short a) using Paypal to be rewarded and b) paying their charges. E inlet spawn it damn in close proximity impossible NOT to use Paypal and. guess what? They're indistinguishable company!!
credit card
Pay Pal give somebody a lift nought approaching 10% so I'm guess'n you show the eBay information bank and final expediency, plus salary companion fees?
There are others (nocheqes etc.) but the punters don't trust it (god know why, if you read the small print paypal give no guarentee at all)
But you will find its the firth that take the most, especially if you are selling items on cheap buy it presently's.
You can set up your fact list to adopt credt card transfers but you are contained by the hand of the bidders and they, unfortunatly, will pick paypal nearly every time. If you don't adopt paypal you will find profoundly of potential bidders avoid your auctions so you catch smaller quantity anyway. Setting a biddable time to finish your fact list, hold a couple of apposite pictures (if you provide me a nudge I can point you at a suitable channel of putting lots of pictures on for free) and starting at 99p attracts the most bidders.
Swings and roundabouts i'm afraid.
Good luck beside the bussiness.
I'm afraid that if you want to form a business out of selling on Ebay you don't hold much choice but to use PayPal since they are matching company.

From a buyers point of vision, PayPal is excellent, it's hasty, you don't own to dally for cheques to clear and if at hand is a problem you can unanimously gain your money support. Nochex is relatively well-mannered from a buyers point of scene but Ebay don't fashion it comfortable to use.

Other alternatives similar to cheques are usable but are not totally convenient but I can see the problem from a seller point of panorama and I sympathise. Perhaps it's time for an investigation into the approach Ebay have get the flea market sewn up?
If Ebay make it virtually impossible to use any clearing system excluding Paypal you hold every right to ask the Office of neutral Trading to investigate. Paypal is not a guard and is not covered by the Banking Code so, frankly, it can freeze your money for as long as it chooses and charge you anything it like. I own read that within are dozens of court cases within the USA claiming unpaid monies from Paypal. Consequently, as they are not covered by the Banking Code, they are a risk and if Ebay is failing to allow choice, near is a grip for the OFT.
because they're evil... i don't infer anyone should use it freshly because of how frequent pple draw from screwed beside it.. anyone buying or selling is at risk of loosing thier money and/or product.
