I'm not sure what you suggest by "muscled out." Did they bring physical near you, or they open equal business and get masses of your clients? If it's the latter, don't lose heart. That routine it's time to attain creative. Look for services you can hold out your customers that you haven't offered back. Consider what you can do that the other company cannot do. Also, look at network groups to expand your business. BNI is a right one. (You can find them at BNI.com.) Now is the time to push your brand (Brand human being what you and your company stand for). I'm reading a book right immediately call "Killer Brands." It's incredible. It really help you to see how you are different from your competition and how you can show your customers that you are better. I notably recommend buying and reading it. It's not a huge book, but it have a ton of information.
Basically, maintain your come first up and stay honest. If you get muscled out contained by a shady mode, your ex customer will see that and be subsidise. But contained by the meantime, don't hold your breath. Move on and move up so that when they come rear legs to you, you can turn them down.
