were in a middle arts school and should we take out our directory of all the kids phone numbers and bid their parents and ask them about our service and see if they want us to do some work. (were doing this to save up money for a laptop)
and theirs close to 600 kids so its probably a good way to publicize our lawn service

I'd say the best way is to put on a type of uniform - travel as a group to houses - and see what response you get.
Remember - most everyone already has their patio cut by someone - so you'd be taking business away - unless they cut it themselves.
then you can offer to "Assist" the home owner - fairly than do it yourself - many might like that belief.
And remember - you can only do so many of them per week - if you telephone call and get 25 people to influence yes- can you get them all done surrounded by 1 week.
The best way to advertise a service is to just go after a market you can conduct operations - if by chance you get too oodles clients - you can't please them all in the fixed time.
So - go door to door - and when you reach a specific number of yes's - later stop sales - - start sales again indistinguishable time next week and build up clients.
Some may be repeat - but most will only be to give support to - and that is a good entry too.
