I am renting out my apartment in Vic, Australia. I am wondering if I have to ask my tenant to return with renter's inusrance just in luggage
1. What if fire goes up due to the tenant's fault and the tenant does not hold renter's insurance?
2. Does renter's insurance cover the damage from the fire if it's his fault?
3. If tenant does not hold one, could I ask the tenant to pay for the damage himself?
4. If zilch works out, should I use my landlord's insurance to cover the damage?
