New York rent in the 70's or 80's?
I enjoy a interest in NY, I have friends that lived contained by Queens and Long Island. he mentioned he be going to rent a apt in the rural community (east, I think) and it be $350 for a one bedroom, tub, kitchen and living room. this be im guessing 1980. does anyone evoke it mortal that cheap after?? when did it suddenly skyrocket? I bet thats a distant memory for New Yorkers!
