Is it basic to put an earnest money? In process of making an extend to a house...?

Answers:
Earnest money is a deposit the buyer puts down towards the purchase of material estate. It represents that the buyer is indeed interested and serious in the order of purchasing the property in the contract. As far as the amount go...There is really no definitive answer and expectations can be changed in different locations. The money will progress towards the down return and/or closing costs of the concrete estate purchase.
my daughter's realtor asked for it...
Yep, a moment ago did that. At smallest 100 bucks they read out.
yes, if the business deal go though and you enjoy a loan that covers the Clocing Cost you will receive it subsidise
We didnt. We bought nearly 6 months ago.

Oh- are you a first time homebuyer?
We found that AZ offer lend a hand to first timers who are middle income. It help, I guess lots of states enjoy this.Tell me if you want more
info.

Okay- I dont know what your state is resembling but here contained by AZ our souk isnt so great, so they permitted the proffer short earnest money. But, we did hold money within escrow because of another house that we didn't seize.

So our program is call home surrounded by five. It is for culture who take home smaller number than 75000 a year (I think) and who enjoy wearing clothes credit. The program give you 5% of the cost of the loan (not the house. This is interesting when you enjoy a down return because you win smaller amount money from the program but you want to put more money down so your payments are less) as a downpayment or to relief beside closing costs. The program also help next to your interest rate. For us the rate is 5.95% which be in the order of one percent smaller quantity than what it be a short time ago going through a ridge. We have individual a few option for financing though. We chose Wells Fargo, but within be a few other lenders that would do the program.

The confine: in attendance is a toll that can be collected if you provide your home AND create a profit AND earn too much money the year you deal in it. The guy at the mound made this nouns really doomed to failure, but I call the IRS and did lots of research and it should be fine. They will purely excise member of the 5% if we move precipitate.

Anyway, that is to say probably more info than you ever looked-for but these programs are designed for us. Why shouldnt we use them?
Yes, you must put out earnest money. That scheme you are serious surrounded by buying the house. It will be return if you don't qualify or the wholesaler does not adopt your grant.
consideration (earnest money) isnt required to generate a contract valid. Normally, putting earnest money is to 'entice' the salesperson to adopt your set aside. The more you put the more they will deem that you're serious contained by buying their home.
Minimum is 500 bucks...to average is around 1% of the purchase price
Yes.

As a Realtor, if a buyer didn't want to put down earnest money, later they enjoy ZERO incentive to move forward beside the closing and I would support my seller to REJECT the present, and any Realtor near a brain would.

It also appears that you are financially incompetent to close on the transaction, which is another red flag to seller.

I hope you own a Realtor representing your interests. Remember that any list agent that you agreement near DOES NOT represent you and is underneath NO constraint to protect your rights and anything you describe them they can enlighten the seller.
Ditto on what Marry said =)
In South Carolina the answer is, no it is not mandatory. Earnest money indicates to the salesperson how serious you are. Note that earnest money is your money and you are not giving it to anyone. Have it put in an escrow side to be held by a nonpartisan participant.
Yes earnest money is intended to show the street trader you are "Earnest" contained by your donate.

Earnest=Serious.

Also for a contract to be legally recognized it must hold "Consideration"

Consideration=Money

Hope this help.
