Have you ever broken a lease?

I am pregnant and in a hurry to move out of state beside my fiance and daughters. Our lease is up at the bring to a close of November, but I am afraid that nobody will hire me by that time. I would close to to turn ahead and quit, but I know that here are penalty beside my complex. Have you ever done this, and be it worth it?
