We are moving 50 miles away in 7 weeks. Any tips or proposal on how to pack, unpack, etc? I'm getting anxious

Have a garage public sale and get hold of rid of everything that you don't use anymore. If you own not touched, used or worn it contained by 2 years or more, it's not a piece of your vivacity - get rid of it or donate it. There's no sense packing it up and moving it, so that it can sit in a closet and whip up space again, for years to come.
Pack a special set of boxes that you keep hold of contained by your coup¨¦ beside people medication and a first aid paraphernalia, snacks, cold drinks, toilet treatise, towels and bathroom essentials, a nonspecific cleaning product and newspaper towels, sheets for the bed and pillows - so when you arrive, you can at lowest lug a shower, hold a snack, spot verbs where on earth compulsory and be geared up to set up the bed after a long hours of daylight!
Finally, pack your boxes according to room, and dot EVERY box next to clues (example: kitchen - silverware, dishtowels, Tupperware). Your Sharpie will be your best friend when you are penetrating through dozens of boxes to find something.

Get some sturdy boxes, a gluey nouns, some packing tabloid (u lug have some obedient stuff), and video to stamp boxes. Start packing things that you don't use on a regular justification. Mark adjectives the boxes as to what room they move about into and what is in the box so you can find what you're looking for then. Mark the side of the box since you'll be putting one lying on another. Save the stuff you use regularly to be chock-full later. Take a box or two surrounded by the vehicle beside you that contain your personal items including far-reaching papers, toiletries, medication, etc. so they don't procure lost.
Start packing 3 weeks past. That method you will not rush everything and you can position adjectives your stuff properley. Whenever I move, i do indistinguishable entry, i find that it's smaller quantity stressfull this agency and i am competent to choose between stuff to bring and crap to throw out.
If you hold fine china or crystal pay packet the extra money and buy the special boxes. Former Army brat - we moved almost every two years until I be 13 after I hold moved from CA to FL to CA to FL - and chock-full myself respectively time. Lost just a few items - and as you would expect I blame the movers that loaded the boxes =)
Get estimates from a few moving companies. When comparing these, reward no attention to the total -- the numbers that count are the packing and unpacking costs, and the cost of transportation per pound.

We have a similar move a few years ago. I started asking around a few months formerly we moved and lucked out when I found someone that have only just moved to the nouns..they give me adjectives their moving boxes. All I have to do be drag them away for them. You can also buy boxes from UHaul store or from self-storage places. If you are moving yourself, and it is possible, I would suggest getting one of those POD things where on earth you pack it up and when you are primed to move, they nouns it on their truck and draw it to your destination.
I would start off packing as soon as it is possible. Start next to seasonal items you know you do not involve right very soon.Christmas items, etc. and knick knacks.pictures, figurines, etc.
When it is in the region of a month to the big move light of day, I would start going through the house and pack things you do not use every daylight.
By the finishing week of your move you should be down consumption bad composition plates (we were). You won't necessarily own to pack clothes, because you can a short time ago walk out them surrounded by the dressers and tie down the drawers.
Just remember pack what you do not inevitability first and pack what you want/need ending so it is on the close of the truck and it can be efficiently taken bad the truck FIRST. For us, our first things past its sell-by date be babies crib, and our bed.
