18 and moving out. how do i travel give or take a few doing this?

Basically, i want to move out, and flat share. im 18, and i am thinking going on for flat sharing, but i really dont know the first entry roughly finding a place thats right for me and my friends... back!??! ay proposal would be much appreciated =]
