GETTING RIPPED OFF?!?!?!...what do i do?
I moved into this apartment february 25th and i signed my lease on february 11th and today is March 4th. I went to the rental department and gave them my rent for this month. They told me my rent be 1810$ and they showed me a paper aphorism i signed it but i didnt it had my initials on it i do not ever remenber signing that serious newspaper! and i signed another paper the sunshine i signed my lease saying i would compensate 1650$ they claim they dont have a weekly like that... what do i do they are lieing to me and i cant afford to repay 1810, 1650 was pushing my issue. and they say if i want to break my lease i hold to pay them 2 months worth of rent and wages them for painting my house shampooing the mat and for all the damages they fixed (before i moved in) i argued but they be like i dont own it i dont know what your talking going on for and they never gave me a copy of the papers even when i asked
what do i do?
Answers: You don't own a copy of the lease you signed originally? I know this is a little too unpunctually but from this point in your enthusiasm do two things:
CAREFULLY read document before signing it.
MAKE SURE you hold a copy of the executed document (meaning it has yours and their signature)
As for your current situation, look through any of your belongings for ANYTHING that might suggest the rent be $1650 (advertisement, etc.) If you suspect they forged your signature and initials then communicate them you are calling the police on them - and do so.
Good luck and don't make this mistake ever again!
