I never signed a LEASE, just an application. does that show "I" own to PAY the outdated tenant a deposit?

It's a roommate situation and I be told that the old roomie forfeited her deposit by the property administration company and " I " enjoy to take-home pay her, her deposit because I moved within. If MY moniker is NOT on a lease (only the application- I NEVER signed a lease) and they do not own a copy of my license or social collateral card, am I responsible for the OLD roomies deposit? Am I obligated?

SERIOUS replies single please.

Answers:
Do not remuneration a deposit unless in that is a written document identify it as a deposit that includes jargon of its' return. A lease is an great example of this type of document and since you didn't sign it, preserve your money!
If you aren't on the lease you enjoy no legalized right to be in attendance and you COULD be arrested for trespassing (unlikely)

So here are your choices
1)MOVE
2)sign a lease on your apartment including payment deposit
3) be QUICKLY evicted (you are not a tenant, awareness is not required, movement can be surrounded by days or less)
Are you looking to stay within, or move out?
you are not obligated to wages someone else's deposit. However, within may be a deposit due for yourself.

Was at hand a discussion going on for a deposit when you occupied out the application? I don't know of anyplace that does not expect one. If you are living at hand I would suggest you have a chat to them and if you have need of to place a deposit to do so. It is not worth getting kicked out and anyone dragged into court over it.

Good luck!
No, if you did not sign lease, you are not liable
BUT...
If you want to stay at hand, it is within your best interest to work something out beside the manager.
And because you don't enjoy a lease, the hotelier does not enjoy to tolerate you stay.
A couple of things come into play.

For what did the behind the times Roommate's deposit win forfeited? did he bust up walls and the LL use his deposit to payment the repairmen?

If adjectives they enjoy on you is an application, they can't enforce anything. By like token, that routine you can't stay at hand (or at most minuscule enjoy no decriminalized standing to be there). If they're cause a big stink, I'd suggest you waddle away and owe them nought...

Now, if the ripened roommate is disappearing amicably and you are merely taking her place, you should hand over your deposit to the property control company and they'll entail to repayment the old-fashioned Roommate's deposit (can thieve up to 21 days).
