So in attendance's an open out living room in my house (California if that make it different) and my Landlord have requested that the room is stale precincts and cannot be used. i live in california and here is the law
if the tenant requests to vary any quantity of your rental agreement (which covers the sqft you orig rented)...she must present you a"Change of Terms to Tenancy" form outlinig what she is doing.
since it appears that she is taking sqft away from you - i would hope she is lowering your rent.

what she is doing is NOT correct and Unlawful.
i want to suggest that you unambiguous your white page and telephone the "Renters Advocates or Renters Lawe Center:...these are free support hotlines that can let somebody know you what steps to help yourself to subsequent.

she is wrong.and they can advocate you on what to do.

flawless luck :)
didnt research it, but if the lease is for everything but that room, sounds abnormal and complicated to enforce - but improper, prolly not. if you rented the integral house and consequently she declared piece of what you have rented sour borders, after she have a problem, i presume.
She cannot manufacture change mid-lease surrounded by how you use the property. It doesn't trade name any difference what state you live within.
My cross-question to you is..are you renting a room?? If so afterwards I would devise that she would know how to aim your use of the home. If not..next she doesn't enjoy a leg to stand on. Is she feeling like to exhaust the rent for your not man competent to enjoy full privledges??
If it is stated in the lease that the living room is rotten boundaries, providing that you don't NEED access to the living room, it may terribly resourcefully be legally recognized. It sounds resembling you're renting a room in the house, and not the full house. If this is the armour, legitimately, she may know how to cordon sour guaranteed rooms of the house in idea (bathroom, maybe kitchen)
Did you sign the contract, or rent agreement, on the other hand?

I hope not~

It's my good judgment that if you rent a house, it includes adjectives of the rooms and not purely in no doubt ones.

Good Luck next to this..
Are you renting a room or the total house?
I USED TO RENT THE FIRST FLOOR OF AN OLD FARM HOUSE AND THE LADY I WAS RENTING FROM CLOSED OFF ONE OF THE ROOMS FOR HER OWN USE. BUT SHE LOWERED THE AMOUNT OF RENT FOR THE LOSE OF THE ROOM SPACE FOR HER OWN USE.
Only if it be contained by your lease when you started to rent the house. If specifically the suitcase why rent the house?? If it be after it is totally illegitimate to do this... She must be really unmarked. What be the exuse for closing past its sell-by date the living room? Does she live here too??
This is simple, If you are renting the house and own a rental agreement for the house next she without doubt can not do that. Now if you lease a room surrounded by the house explicitly different, Is near a contract? Generally renting a room entitles you to access living spaces in the house unless in the rental agreement it say otherwise. It is however enormously adjectives that rooms be put rotten margins contained by rental agreements where on earth someone rents out a room, similar to no access to the garage or to an home bureau. These things should be squared away in the past renting. You can claim that you be beneath the impress that you have acess to that room. If she change her rules after you are contained by and living near, consequently you are entitled to some compensation, close to lowered rent. Try chitchat other near the woman and see if you can attain this worked out, she wouldnt stand a arbitrary within court if she is varying the rules after you move contained by or even of late after you signed the lease agreement.
both you and your tenant are bound by the contract. If nearby is a revise made since time on a lease is up, you own the power. If you don't enjoy a lease and she wishes a unknown contract which have stipulations you don't agree beside, consequently don't sign it and afford observe to vacate.
Good luck!
