Hi stressed,
I live within Vic OZ,
I am currently going through duplicate article,( the refinancing bit)
and chitchat yesterday next to my solicitor it seem that if you are related e.g husband and wife, father daughter ...it does not cost much to verbs the cross on a mortgage.
It costs more if you are not related because next you hold to wages stamp duty..which sucks, I know :(
The prevalent problem lies surrounded by the certainty that you want "to refinance it into your cross only".the mortgage lender desires to be notify of this intent...so they can ascertain whether you can touch the repayments ( and I am damn sure they will want to do this)..if not they could say aloud you hold broken the contract and you could forfeit your loan.
I am sure if you approached your lender (even anonymously via phone) they would administer you the best casing scenario that you can choose from.
Good luck..I hope it works out for you ..divorce/separation is a crappy place to be much smaller amount going through this as capably!
