Would you rent a "fixer upper" in a great neighborood for reduced rent in exchange for handy work?
The house is livable very soon, but clearly a diamond surrounded by the rough - mostly deferred continuation close to drawing, refinishing floors, trim work, etc. I am curious how feasible I could find a clothed tenant to any live within "as is" for a reduced rate, or exchange adjectives or constituent of rent for some handy work.
The home is severely close by the the deep within an outstanding nouns - close to *everything* !

You are a saint (in disguise). What you are considering is workable, but do it solely as partial rent--for instance as 25 or 30% of the rent as "work equity." Figure anything the rent is contained by your nouns minus 25 or 30% of the rent would be in "work equity" and the rest would be change because at some point in time adjectives of the work will be done and your tenant will necessitate to graduate up to paying adjectives of the rent surrounded by currency.

I'm from a different academy of thought. What happen if you don't close to the work the tenant does? Do they own to reward more next? Who pays for getting ti fixed the method you want if it is done wrong? What if the work go too slow for you? How in the order of if they move out and solitary partly of what you expected to be don is? I see tons possibilities for problems when you allow tenant to do the work.
I'd go and get the work done next bring back the premium rent a place similar to this sounds similar to it would go and get.
depends, if you do clear sure you put everything in writing
if the home is a total fixer, afterwards cause sure you capture rent rate for trustworthy years..you dont want owner to increase rent on you once you've fixed home
Being the owner, Im going to control what get done 1st, and the materials, w/ a probable time demarcate. Im not going to extension up w/ 5 things 1/2 done, at a reduced rent, in the first year..
