Does this rental nouns approaching a scam to you?

I passed by a house that really interested me and have a 4rent sign.I kept calling the number on the realty sign but it be disconnected so I moved out a entry on the door.A few days latter, a man call stating that he be beside the fresh realty co. that took over the property and asked to come upon me at the house so he can show it to me.I agreed and loved the house.He give me his bussiness card and said that I needed to name him on his cell to manage him.Next year I forgot in the region of that and tried to christen him at the organization but that # be disconnected! When I told him around this, he said it be b/c they are merging next to a clean co. and their # will be shifting soon. He requests me to filch him a check for the amount of the rent and deposit and sign up the contract but he desires me to vacate it blank b/c he claims hes not sure which company moniker they will be using.Could this be a hoax? Something a moment ago seem fishy to me!

whos to voice he is not surrounded by the legitimate estate business but found your register while he be looking for a place to rent and is trying to work a scam on you.
If i be you i would purely miss on it to copious disconnected numbers for me,
DO NOT tender him a blank check.

It may be lawful that they are varying companies, etc., but I would not bequeath them a blank check.

Sounds strange to me. I would contact your local PVA(poperty valuators) department and find out who owns the home. This is public information. Hopefully, you'll know how to look the individuals up within the phonebook or internet and ask them who the realty company is. You can also contact the realtors association and tenant services to find out if this company is legit.

If you're really interested in the house, jump to the county property appraiser and find out who certainly owns it and try to get hold of their contact information...
Ask who his Broker is and look on string and see if it is a valid bureau. He may be recitation the truth. Ask for the trial department address and dance at hand.
There are path too various red flags on this one. Tell him to ring up you when the company get sorted out, that you might still be interested afterwards. In the meantime, look at other places to rent.
