HELP! Nowhere to rent here damn city! (Calgary, AB)?

Ok so I call for a place to live starting October 1. There is a see rate of merely 1% surrounded by this city and I know this is stupid, but I enjoy no money save. By Sept 7 I will hold plenty and I planned to step to an nouns where on earth nearby are a bunch of apartments and basically drive around to the rental office and ask if they enjoy see for October and if they did, I would write them a cheque for the first months rent and blight deposit right in that. Is that a moral impression? I don't want to only just phone around, space go so quick contained by this city! I'm so stressed in the region of this! What are your thoughts?
