Can I use a 1031 Exchange to buy unknown property when selling commercial property?

I own a building and I converted it from apartments to condos. I hold sold four (of six) and I want to lift the proceeds from the ending public sale or two and put it into a 1031 Exchange. I hold not sold them nonetheless.

May I do this and buy a piece of estate? Then I would use the home to build more condos.

In days gone by I setup a 1031 Exchange for the mart of residential property to purchase this apartment building.

My considerate is that the 1031 Exchange must be a "approaching kind" exchange. I meditate it have to be of similar type and equal or better good point. I don't construe unprepared estate would qualify.

But, I'm not a 1031 Exchange expert..
