Are here any websites giving dispassionate counsel more or less selling your home?
Does anyone know of any websites which will offer you the lowdown on selling your house, for example, what is the standard amount charged by estate agents for selling your house?
Answers:
You give the impression of being to be surrounded by the UK.
Estate Agents largely charge similar rates contained by different areas (I guess some sort of price fixing go on). I own lately sold contained by Cambridge where on earth I salaried .85% commission (I be quoted .75% by another) and my partner is selling in Northants where on earth he is paying 1.75% (although some charge 2% and none go below 1.5%). If you ring round several agents, they will bring up to date you what they charge.
Similarly near solicitors, ring round to see what they charge for selling a house at your price.
The standard amount is 6% total - 3% to the seller agent, 3% to the buyers agent. But, to be exact transferable. If you are going to slightly underprice it for a hasty public sale, they may be feeling like to step 4 or 5% because they will hold smaller amount advertising/work in selling it.
Impartial website, not part of an agency's website.
