My roommate is moving out, going away me alone within a 2BR apt and 100% of the rent responsibility. Any counsel?
My roommate uncerimoniously arranged that he is moving out. My dad and I deem he be planning to do this shortly after moving in and probably be using me.
He is paying for the lease translate charge and my re-application fees.
However, I am within a 2-bedroom apartment beside one personage (I singular chose a 2-bedroom because I required a roommate to hide away money). I would hold to disassemble my furniture and physically move again to another building if I downgraded, but I would collect $300 a month. My dad doesn't mind paying the extra rent but beside utilities we will be paying nearly $1,300 a month, which is profusely beside 2 college students and a house as it is.
I am considering a investigational roommate (which my dad isn't forcing me to do), but this one turned out shameful even though we talk beforehand and I requested reference. I'm afraid I'll be stuck near another bum roommate. Besides, most students & babyish relatives my age enjoy already settled surrounded by for the year.
