Renters: What do you look for in an apartment/house?

Just curious to know what the most significant features are to you. Tie-breaking features, etc.

Answers:
- Price
- Size
- Location
- Balcony
- Noise from adjacent apartments

If adjectives of those things are met, and I own two apartments that are equal within adjectives of those respects, consequently I would start to look for more luxurious features. Basically, which one looks nicer, have better architecture, have a more interesting design, etc.
I JUST signed a lease roughly 3 weeks ago on a super-cute split-level townhouse. I live contained by Miami so pricing is an affordable monthly rent is substantial to me. Also, the square-footage be a big article to consider too. You will probably want to consider whether the place or home you are renting is on a illustrious floor or is split horizontal.

Here are what my top-5 choices be:

1. Affordable Price - between $1,300 and $1,400/monthly rent
2. Big satisfactory to fit my belongings - 1,000 sqft or larger
3. At lowest 2 bedrooms and 1.5-2 baths
4. If the apt. is not on the first floor, are here elevators? (I am within the process of moving out of a 3rd floor apt...and it's goign to suck.)
5. Location!?!? Is it close to my place of work?

Other things you should consider, or question you should as, are appilcation fees, deposits and association fees (if you wish to rent a condo). Also, who does continuation on the place if something breaks? Usually if you are renting, the owner or the apt complex take assistance of that, but you should other ask. Menial things to also inquire going on for are if you are allowed to paint the walls, is in that a washer/dryer surrounded by the part, a dishwasher, medium A/C, etc.

Since I live in South Florida, hurricane shutters and protection are also central (but I haven't run into a place that doesn't tender that nonetheless!).

Goodluck questioning for an apt/house to rent. Definitely check out profoundly of places and I strongly suggest using Craigslist.com to find a place -- that's where on earth my roommate and I found our "dream home" (for this year, at lowest possible!)
Well now race renting apartments are charging a short time more consequently the correct ol days, so your best bet will be to draw from the best for your buck. In this I be a sign of find a place where on earth the utilities are included, of couse appliances will be provided, and apartments that are technically latest or recently remodeled. This opening you wont be spending closely on rent and enjoy to money the prices of the utility bills, and the honourably unmarked or remodeled chunk so you wont own to verbs going on for putting in directives to maintenence every week more or less getting something repaired and not human being competent to live comfortably on your dollar.
As far as renting houses be in motion, get sure you sort a checklist of your expectations and concerns and dance down the enumerate and product sure you touch on everything even if it's small/minor, because I know of a honest number of landlords that own screwed nation I know.Look for fresh paint, protected window, biddable doors and paneling, wearing clothes carpet/flooring, sturdy porch, upright lighting, perfect plumbing, sinks, tub and toilet, and product sure to thoroughly check the crypt out and inquire just about leak and flooding! These are most, if adjectives the prevalent things. Good luck in your hunt!... Hope this help! ;-)
